There are dozens of possibilities for itineraries around Phuket.
We have Phang Nga bay with it's beautiful Limestone rock formations and Hongs (water caves) and there are an amazing amount of smaller
and bigger islands more to the South and in The Andaman Sea.
Most people when they come to Phuket only know about Koh Phi Phi with Maya bay where they filmed 'The Beach' and nowadays Koh Lanta
is getting popular. But who knows about Koh Kradan, Koh Muk, Koh Racha, Koh Rang, Koh Yum, Koh Yao yai and Koh Yao noi, just to mention a few examples
We can take you to all those islands and places, some in a day trip, others with an overnight stay. Sailing with the Frog we stay in
(small) island resorts on one of these islands, sailing with Chimera we stay on board. The next day we move on to the next island! Real island hopping....

| Phuket Island |
Although Phuket is well charted, with many of its secluded bays having hotel developments on them, they still offer some great places to stop and anchor.
For those who don’t wish to travel too far from civilization, Patong, Kata and Karon Bays all offer safe anchorage’s and good night life.
For those wishing to be a little more discreet in their anchoring options, Ni Harn, Surin & Bang Tau are a little more relaxed and informal.
Between one to five days would be recommended when sailing and exploring Phuket Island. It should be noted that the west coast of Phuket really does offer
some good sailing conditions, the off shore winds can be very reasonable, giving great sailing weather in calm protected waters.

| Koh Hi |
Or Coral Island, most popular for a day trip. We go to the less crowded Banana beach. Good for snorkeling, nice restaurant
and if you like there is a possibility for a small trek to enjoy the beautiful sea view at the other side of the island |

| Koh Lone |
Just a stone throw from Phuket, but you'll feel like you're very far away from the hustling and bustling of Phuket. Deserted bays
and beaches. Absolutely beautiful, good for a daytrip. In this case we take packed lunch. |

| Koh Aeo |
Uninhabited by people, the more by animals. There are no beaches but the sea round Koh Aeo is stunning. Unspoiled reef almost
all around the island. Good on a daytrip combined with Koh Lone or for the real sailors to just have a swim and a packed lunch |

| Koh Maiton |

A privately owned island with a stunning beach that belongs to all. Only to swim too when the current is not too strong.
Good for snorkeling as there is a try out for a reef garden planted by the Phuket Marine Biology Centre. If lucky we are visited by dolphins. |

| Koh Tapao Noi |
| By the Thai Tourist Authority picked island to be a new tourist destination for Phuket as there are still about 48
families of Hornbill birds living there. They are being fed at 4 o'clock pm and there is a short trek uphill possible to see the views from the top. |

| Koh Rang Yai |
| Good for a daytrip in the west wind moonsoon. Beautiful beach with more upmarket restaurant. |

| Koh Yao Yai |
Possible in a daytrip from Ao Yon, Phuket, also possible as overnighter. This large island in the middle in Phang Nga bay is only
inhabited by about 400 people, still unspoiled and no electricity. |

| Koh Racha Yai & Koh Racha Noi |

There are two Racha Islands Racha Yai & Racha Noi. Both of these islands are well worth a visit. Racha Yai is the developed of the two with two bays
on the north East Coast offering protected anchorages and a couple of seafood restaurants if you fancy a meal ashore. A few nice small inexpensive resorts
as well as an upmarket beautiful beach resort. A full day can be spent exploring these lovely islands. The water is crystal clear; the snorkeling and diving
are very good. |
We usually stay in the small resort with views on the bay Raya Resort from 900 Baht or in the even cheaper, a little more inland Father resort from 500 Baht per night (no websites).
For the real sailors possible as a daytrip but recommended for a 1 night overnighter. |

| Phang Nga Bay |
A natural world heritage site. Phang Nga bay is a sheltered bay– land locked on three sides. It is an ideal all year round cruising ground.
A visit to Phang Nga Bay, to the north east of Phuket is a ‘must’ during any stay in or around Phuket. Mystic rock formations tower
vertically out of the waters, known locally as ‘Hongs’ – many of these little islands have hollow centres! |

The 'Hongs' are best visited in a dingy or a kayak; at low tide it is possible to go inside through ‘a whole in the wall!
A dingy comes with the boat and we know the best places to rent a kayak. and a guide. The extremely picturesque Phang Nga Bay and its surrounding
limestone outcrops were the featured location for the classic James bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun". Two days are the minimum of
really exploring Phang Nga bay good. But if you want to see the rivers and the fishing village on stelts you need a few more days. |

| Koh Mook |
Just a few hours sailing south from Phi Phi Island you find a nice small island off the beaten track, just a few small resorts on a
beautiful beach with views to different other islands to visit the next days. For example Koh Kradan and Koh Talibong.
We can include Koh Mook in a 3 or more days trip. |

| Koh Kradan |
This island only has 2 small resorts. One found by a Hawaiian man who also sailed all of his life. We'll anchor in a beautiful
unspoiled bay and walk just over a small hill to find the Jungle resort in the middle of the island (no website from 400 Baht per night). Just a short
nice walk on you find the stretched beach at the other side with beautiful views again back to Koh Muk. We can include Koh Kradan in a 3 or more days trip.
Sailing around in this southern area is most amazing because of the tiny little island you pass where there are only sea gypsies living! |

| Krabi |

Krabi features some of Thailand’s most stunning landscapes and forms part of the Had Nopparat Marine National Park.
Large outcrops tower from the water to form curious monoliths. The Krabi region really has become popular within the last couple of years.
The sheer limestone cliffs are very popular with rock climbers from all over the world. We can visit popular Ao Nang or Railay beach. |

| Koh PhiPhi Don & Koh PhiPhi Le |
Spectacular rugged limestone cliffs rise out of the sea, forming the beautiful Phi Phi islands. The area offers a good variety of different
types of diving with abundant hard and soft corals. Snorkeling around the islands is excellent with plenty of shallow coral gardens on the fringing reefs,
which are alive with colourful fish life.
The Phi Phi islands were voted one of the top ten most beautiful islands in the world. The hit movie "The Beach" was filmed here.
We can take you to there if you want although 'the beach' lately became a tourist trap. After 9 o'clock am an invasion of speedboats full with tourists
come here and you can hardly see the beach anymore. If you wish to go, we'll recommend to charter for example the Elephant, arrive after 4 and stay overnight.
Than it is still one of the most beautiful places in the world. Or take a sunset tour from Phi Phi Island.
A good place to stay a day or two to really explore these incredible islands. Phi Phi we can visit in one overnighter. If you really want to explore
Phi Phi a bit we recommend to stay there 2 nights. And have a nice sail around Phi Phi Leh (the smaller island south to Phi Phi Don) in the middle day

| Koh Tarutao & Butang Islands |
Koh Tarutao is a cluster of Islands, which form the southern most of Thailand’s marine National parks. The islands are infamous
as an old pirate lair during the eighteenth century. They are situated only a few miles north of the Malaysian border. Whilst cruising the Southern most
islands in the Tarutao group, the Malaysian holiday island of Langkawi is clearly visible. To reach the Tarutao Islands is an overnight passage, from Phuket Island.
Just a Few miles west of the Koh Tarutao, lies the Butang group. These are not a national park but are well worth a visit, as they
are very pretty, with a few white sandy beaches affording some time ashore to stretch your legs. There is also a small sea gypsy settlement on the i
slands that can be visited. The islands are undeveloped and extremely quite. A full day’s exploration would be recommended. |

| Similan & Surin Islands |
A cluster of nine tropical islands, fifty five nautical miles north west of Phuket is Thailand's premier dive sites destination.
The Similan islands offer a great diversity of marine life and under-sea terrain. This marine national park is considered to have the most colourful
reef environment and best all-round conditions of all dive sites in Thailand. The islands themselves have some of the most stunning above-water scenery
in Southeast Asia, with dazzling turquoise water, white sand beaches and secluded bays framed by rocky headlands. |
